Check the spec sheets. These are SAS and enterprise so they'll use more power and run a bit hotter but the performance and reliability is better too.

I found this site that provides all info for HDDs. According to this info the 8TB SAS consumes 5W vs 4.1W at idle idle compared to my actual 2TB drives but standby power is 2W vs 0.6W.

That's strange. Sellers usually increase the price when their inventory gets low. Especially on Hard Drives.

I agree, it was quite strange to see them dropped it they accepted $50 on these for us. Sadly sold out of them.

Less great of a deal, but still decent if you want to stock up on SATA drives - especially if they accept reasonable offers.
