Hi.
Looking for a reliable usb boot device i found this ebay offer
HGST 8GB USB 2.0 USB MINI Enterprise EMBEDDED DRIVE SLC 32NM HE 1 0T00763 | eBay
If you are booting from USB then reliability of the sticks counts even if there are powered on 24/7. These have SLC NAND-Flash and are "True Enterprise-Class SSD" which should be more reliable than others IMHO. And they are much cheaper than the SLC-USB-Drives I usually use - so I consider this as a "good deal" if one needs a USB boot device.
Shipping is quite expensive for one item (£9.99) but each additional item costs only £0.99 more.
I also found a data sheet on HGST 8GB USB 2.0 HE 0T00763 Data Sheet - Page 2 of 2
MTBF with 4 million hours is above most current SSD drives. Because it's only USB 2.0 speed is nothing you would expect ("26MB/s sustained write" are not soo bad - see page 1 on the data sheet linked above).
More than 10 available at the time of posting.
I got some and can post specs when they have arrived.
