I tried flashing an M1215 to the IT mode following:

How to flash a LSI SAS 3008 HBA (e.g. IBM M1215) to IT mode

I find I had to go back and forth between a dos drive and a uefi drive to get anywhere. I was ultimately able to prepare the card and erase the image (steps sas3flash.efi -f SAS9300_8i_IT.bin -noreset and sas3flash.efi -o -e 7, but I cannot flash back to the card, either in uefi or dos (step sas3flash.efi -f SAS9300_8i_IT.bin -b mptsas3.rom -b mpt3x64.rom). I keep getting an unable to open bin error. I've tried renaming the bin file but no dice.

Any suggestions are welcome, I've spent hours trying to get this done.

mpt3sas.rom

It's best to press tab to finish the filename off so you are making sure you have the correct file names.
