Help with Connect X2 VPI, Server 2019, and Aruba S2500 switch

Anyone have a solution to this, not sure if the dell dac is the problem. Have read that the Aruba S2500 wasn't picky about dacs.
Connect x2 is in Ethernet mode, no lights, Network settings show no cables plugged in.

Compatible transceivers did not work either. Yanked the x2 and put in a x3. Works with the fiber and dacs now.

Might try the x2 later with linux
