Hi All,

Im new to 10G Ethernet. I have these items

A C6100 daugther card that has a 10G ethernet port. TCK99.
PCI-E card with a SPF+ 10G Ethernet card
A SPF+ cable

Problem is the TCK99 has a different size connector. See red box below. Compare it with size of RJ45 connection below.

Is there a way to adapt the TCK99 connection to the SPF+ cable???

RJ45 Cat5 cable only shown for scale.

I don't recall any XFP mezzanine cards for C6100, too old, but there were definitely QSFP models. Are you sure thats not a QDR IB or 40Gbe NIC in there?

WAG, this may be your card.

If you can list the part or picture of the card in the server, it may be ethernet capable (EN or VPI models if mellanox) then QSFP to SFP+ adapters are ~$30 on fleabay.

I would guess it is the QSFP dual 40Gb IB card. Just so you know, I had a C6220 come with the 56gbps single port cards and swapped them out with the dual 10Gb adapters. It was fairly close to the price of just buying the SFP+ adapters: Dell-0TCK99-TCK99-C6100-C6220-10G-SFP-Dual-Port-Mezzanine plus you could potentially then sell the 40Gb IB ones.

Yes thats the converter, but at $45 for a dual SFP+ card I'd just buy that and unload the IB card. As a bonus you get an intel chipset, if you'll never use the IB capability of mellanox its preferred.
