Hello interweb

I’m look for a breakout box or splitter that can take my poe 48v and break it out to a power plug and networking

aliexpress is filled with 5/12/24v splitters but need 48v

Cheers

If you're asking for active 802.3at input to 48V output, these are really expensive compared with active to 12V splitters.
I borrowed a Tycon 4848G splitter for a while, but couldn't stomach the cost of replacing (~$90) when I had to give it back. Startech also do one, but it's high wattage and even more expensive.

If you're asking about passive poe 48V, then maybe the splitter isn't well labeled & you've mixed 10/100Mb injector/switch to 1Gb splitter or vice-versa?
I currently use the cheapest passive gigabit splitter I could find on AliExpress, and it works just fine from a passive 48V PoE gigabit injector. So long as you match the speed of the injector (so it's using the correct wires) then I can't see why 48V would be a problem on any of the cheap passive splitters.

And slightly hijacking your thread (sorry!), I was tempted to use a 12V to 48V converter (eg. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32299592894.html) so that I could do PoE+ => 12V Splitter => 12V DC UPS => 48V Converter => Ruckus R650. Does anyone know what my losses would be from one of these cheap DC boost converters? And is there a gotcha which makes this a terrible idea?
