Do you have a used market where you are located?
450€ for the motherboard is VERY expensive (for USA), but maybe options are slim where you are.

Case/Chassis - Up to you. Do you have a rack? Do you need a tower or a certain size? Let us know your requirements and we can help.
SuperMicro or Intel are popular for the E5-2670 and home users depending on rack or not.

RAM - I would go for 16GB DIMMs at $40-50/each for the 'fast' stuff, if you're doing it all from scratch may as well go with the fast ram from the get go :)

HDD/SSD - Depends on what you want to use it for, and how much you want to spend.

It would help others provide suggestions if you let us know what you're building it for :)
Media Streaming, Archive Storage, VM usage -- if so what kind, etc...

why do you want to use 2x e5-2670 for archival, download and upload? if just for that purpose you can almost get by with even an i3 but I probably would go with at least an i5. even old things like x5550 might still be good enough. in the States, x5550 cpu costs like $7 or less each.

Going with 2x e5 would cost you more to get a dual cpu MB and the bigger case needed for it. you can check on ebay for used single cpu server that have a lot of drive bays too.

If your need is only file storage and upload/download (torrent), I would just get a TS140 with a i3-4330 and call it a day. That little server is very quiet and idle at around 48 watts. Set it up as a NAS. Virtually all NAS OS has torrent client these days.

A dual e5-2670 will idle around 200+ watts, that's $15/month more than the TS140 in electric bill using the US rate.

If you want to use a E5-2670 then don't get the SRoH8 steeping. That steeping may have a bug with PCI-pass thru which may limit what you want to use them for in the future.

As stated before, an old X56xx or X55xx setup will fit your needs. Just keep in mind the motherboard for those (socket 1366) idles at 70-80 watts alone.

Between the TS140 and a dual E5-2670 is an E3-1270v2 setup or a single E5-2670 with an Intel dual socket board (for future upgrade).

if you insist on going the dual e5-2600 and want to stay with atx case, then yeah its fine as theres not really many MB choices

for your case i'd look at something like this:

HP ProLiant MicroServer Gen8 Xeon E3-1220 QCore 4x3.1 GHz 16 GB ohne Festplatten | eBay

Or same with an L-CPU.

This will keep your room quiet (and cool in summer) and save you at least 10-15€/month on electricity.

Dual 2670 is reall not what you want in the same room, as it is big (by design), draws at least 150+ W even when idle and simply overkill until you need either the CPU's or pci-lanes.
