Hey all, first post here, glad to be around-- I got some SuperMicro SuperServers from an auction a bit ago and I'm wondering if someone can help me figure out what they'd sell for? The information I try to find never feels concrete and I'd just like a little bit of guidance. They seem to be older but I don't know what a server lifecycle really looks like so I'm just talking out of nothing here. I have four of them and here's the specs:

- 2x Platinum 8168s
- 512GB RAM (16x32GB)
- No drives
- Two 10Gig NICS with ports I'm not familiar with (optical???? kinda wide???)
- One 40Gig NIC that I don't remember the ports of and would have to check later
- No drives, but they do have drive bays
- A Raid controller but god knows what kind
- X11DPU-Z+ Motherboard

They all power on and boot just fine it seems. I don't know what else information is relevant. Thanks for the help in advance

To properly identify hardware, boot one up with a live Linux distro and post the results of lspci -v.

What info is missing?
Everything where you said "I don't know".

A NIC could add $10 or $300 to the price of the system. Same for the HBA. What speed is the RAM? Is it ECC? What brand are the chips on the RAM?

lspci is the easiest way to start. Even better would be booting Windows PE and running HWINFO to see all the gory details.

Gotcha. Waiting on some time to free up for me to get to them. Hopefully later today?

For what it's worth, a ballpark is totally fine by me. I'd just rather hear any number or range from a person rather than eBay or mostly inconclusive search results.

But I will get to getting one started one I'm free. Thanks for the info so far

Well now I'm stuck for now because I can't get into BIOS on them so it'll be a bit before I can run that command unless everyone else knows something I don't. There's a FireEye sticker on it and I saw at least one person with the same issue and I think there was some flashing involved or something???? Not sure but I'll have to look into it more another time.

I did pull out a stick of RAM- Looks like 16x Samsung M393A4K40CB2. Didn't pull out any of the networking or RAID cards but I did find out it has some sorta "crypto accelerator" or something of the sort. Neat, that's new to me. I'll try and get to the RAID/NICs when I'm not dead tired again.
