Hello all,

So I just received my Hasivo switch model S1100WP-8GT-1XGT-SE and it appears to have died or is failing to boot. When I originally plugged it in I saw all the lights come on, and the power led was blinking. Once the LED was done blinking I plugged in some non-POE wires, and I saw the lights come on on those two ports. After a few minutes, not sure what I was doing, I noticed that all the leds on the switch were off, and only the power LED remained on (solid).

So far I have unplugged it many times, plugged into different ports, and hit the reset button many times with no improvement. Only the power led comes on and stays on when turned on, with the POE lights flashing once on startup. I hope that it didnt die just now as I was excited to get into my first networking project!

I have also tried to connect to the switch using its IP but its not even getting picked up by my router as connected. I used this troubleshooting step, and also tried other IPs it may be listening on: 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.2.1

EDIT: Should have also mentioned but the reset switch does nothing either! The power LED stays on the whole time.

It certainly sounds like it might've died. :( I would contact Hasivo about it.

Hello
I have the exact same model for about a month or so and it's working fine. 2 Poe AT devices connected and some other non poe devices.
Have you tried a factory reset? There's a small hole you can try press it for a few seconds.
About the power led, on my switch it slowly blinks even after booting and never stays on.

Should have mentioned this as well but the reset switch does nothing either! The power LED stays on the whole time. Funny thing is that when it was booting for the first time the power led was blinking like you described, but must have gotten stuck on first time setup?

Aliexpress has agreed to refund me the full price of the switch with no return as the seller Hasivo would only refund me 7 dollars... So now im going to figure out how to fix it! If anyone here has an idea of how to forcefully reset this switch that would be great!

I tried shorting IN1 and IN2 (separately) but that just caused sparks o_O. Not sure if im doing it wrong lol...

7 dollars? Lol Ali sellers are such a joke. At least AliExpress step in and refunded you.
Can't help with what you need. Maybe you can fix the firmware using a serial port if there's one the PCB.

Btw test the power supply, before messing with the PCB. Could be a simple fix.

i hope you measured the voltages on IN1/IN2, or otherwise did something to try to figure out what they were, before trying to short them together?

it sounds at least a bit plausible that IN1 and IN2 might've had something to do with the input power rails, in which case you might've shorted 52V to ground

have you not tried looking at serial TTL output either? that's probably your best bet for trying to figure out if the switch is really borked

also make sure the DUMB/WEB switch is set to WEB, and not wiggling about or whatever, I guess

My S1100WP-8GT-1XGT-SE (1.9.1 firmware) just lost its configuration "like that", after few months of working okish - and ended up with factory settings. These hasivo switches are just unreliable it seems.

Similar problems here: I have six S600WP-4GT-2SX-SE switches, on 1.9.1 firmware.
  • One arrived with a dead PoE module. The seller promised to ship a new module months ago. However, it has not arrived.
  • After months of working okay-ish, one switch went into dumb mode, even though the mode switch was not touched. The mode switch had no effect. Also, resetting it didn't work, as it did not reset like the other switches would. After consulting with the seller, he sent me a (different?) 1.9.1 firmware, which restored the switch to a working state.
  • Just today, after months of working okay-ish, two switches became unreachable on their management interface. Resetting them works only partly: the lights do not confirm a successful reset as with their properly working siblings, but it seems the configuration is reset. However, the management interface is still not reachable, meaning the switches are pretty much bricked.
I tried my luck with these switches, but I guess it's a text-book example of "you get what you pay for". This durability / reliability is unacceptable, so I'll switch back to a renown brand and swallow the higher cost.

Same issue as the OP with my S1100WP-8GT-1XGT-SE (on the board is S1100P-8GT-1XGT v1.01). Starting today it did not come back at all, just keeps blinking. So far, it did this intermittently, generally I have tried not to power it off. I did so 3 times in 1 year, and now is "stuck". Holding the factory reset button, power cycle, switching dumb/smart - does nothing.

Also, before this permanent brick state, the management interface stopped responding as well. Cheap.. indeed, but crap QC, short lifespan and the fact that you need to buy a replacement, it suddenly becomes a very expensive brick. Bought in Dec 2023 for $172.55.
Now I learned my lesson and went for Ubiquiti USW-Flex-2.5G-8-PoE (I am already in the ecosystem) that costed 185 EUR (vat exluded, shipping included) and an additional 76.5 EUR for the 200 W adapter. There is a cheaper adapter that does not cover all POE ports. This switch is newer, granted, but far superior in terms of quality and features. Did I mention it was plug&play, did not have to set up POE or anything, all just worked? Considering the price difference, the crappy interface, the lack of firmware updates and support, I would say Hasivo is NOT competitive anymore.

I am waiting for a USB/TTL interface to try the TFTP method, perhaps it is salvageable. I will post updates here.

Hi everyone,

I am facing the exact same issue with my Hasivo S1100WP-8GT-1XGT-SE. The switch has been running stable since late 2023, but it recently since middle of March, bricked out of nowhere.

Symptoms:
  • Power & PoE work: The switch powers up and can still provide PoE to connected devices.
  • No Data/Link: No network traffic passes through, and the RJ45 link LEDs never light up.
  • Status LEDs: Only the Power (PWR) and PoE LEDs are active.
  • RET Button doesn't work: tried hundred times and never receive any response from the board, LED light even no turn off.
I’ve been trying to access the console via CP2102 (USB to UART) but haven't had any luck getting a readable output. I measured the voltage on the headers J1 and T17 using a multimeter, and they seem to be the most likely candidates for UART:
  • J1 (Top to Bottom): 3.309V (VCC), 0.0016V (GND), 1.46V (TX?), 3.2V (RX?)
  • T17 (Left to Right): 3.310V (VCC), 0.0016V (GND), 3.166V (TX?), 3.310V (RX?)
I only guess the actually pin title, I have no idea it's correct or not.

What I've tried:
  • Tested 115200 and 9600 baud rates on both headers using PuTTY and TeraTerm.
  • Swapped TX/RX pins.
  • Measured voltages (as shown above).
Has anyone successfully unbricked this S1100WP-8GT-1XGT-SE specific model? Is there a specific boot-loop trigger or a jumper needed to force it into a recovery mode? I was considering upgrading to a UniFi Flex 2.5G PoE, but the local pricing here in Vietnam is nearly double the MSRP, so I’m really hoping to revive this Hasivo.

Any insights on the correct pinout or baud rate for this Realtek-based board would be greatly appreciated!

The 2 ports that seem to be JTAG, throw some data, but nothing relevant. It is not the boot loader or anything like that. J1 seems to only throw some repeating telemetry. Or I am doing something wrong.

IMG20260402003324.jpg

Read the actual flash chip (sitting under the removable daughter board) FM25Q16A with a CH341B programmer (gold variant)
Tried zeroing some bytes at the end of the image, and attempted to write back. It is either frozen (max verbose on flashrom program, seems to be stuck in a loop) OR write is very very slow. Did struggle with the chip clamp also, there are better and... not so good.

I am obviously a noob at this stuff, but I do not find it particularly difficult. That being said, any input would be appreciated :) To me this device is electronic waste already, so I am willing to experiment on it, for posterity.

Most likely the FM25Q16A is the issue. If you search the forum, you will find many people who had problems with it. Not sure if it is a problem in a batch of these chips. Or Fundan has a general quality issue.

According to RTLPlayground/doc/mods.md at main · logicog/RTLPlayground you can replace it with a Winbond model. But you would need to program it first with a CH341.

@cr1cr1 The pinout on the S1100WP-8GT-1XGT-SE to get console is the T17 header (from the square pin) RX | GND | TX | 3.3V
It's ttl @ 3.3v - baud rate is 57600 8N1

I just tried right after saw your reply. May I confirm your test? The order of those TTL Pin are from Left to Right, right? And the baud rate is 57000 or 57600? I'm using USB to TTL UART CP2102 to connect, I tried all and received trash log when connect RXD (CP2102) to PIN_1.S1100WP-8GT-1XGT-SE.jpgsg-11134201-22090-ci5mcqkdkuhv74.jpg

you are lucky with AliExpress

I recently bought S600WP-4GT-2SX-S model with POE

It worked fine with RJ45 cables. The moment I inserted fs.com generic SFP module, the switch died. Doesnt power up, not in dumb not in smart modes. Tried different power adapters, didnt help. No lights at all, when plugged in, I feel heat.

I raised it with Hasivo, they initially offered $5 refund, when rejected $10.

I raised with AliExpress. They told me to ship it back which costs $60 to China for $82 switch. They didn't offer any refund of shipping costs.

So this is now with Credit card company, disputing the charge.

Pin order is left to right based on your picture. The pin directly under the T17 silkscreen text is the RX pin.
Yes baud is 57600, I typo'd my original message

As another note on recovering the device, mine had failed and the power light has just blinking rapidly.

Manually setting an IP on my PC in the 192.168.0.xxx/24 range (I used 10) and browsing to http://192.168.0.1 loaded a basic web UI that allowed me to re-flash the firmware.

This was confusing as the default IP range of the switch is 192.168.1.xxx/24 which I had tried to no success.

Hopefully this helps someone
