Has anyone ever heard of an Illumos AD DC? Or other DC running / management software (other than standard smbadm, etc.)?

Constantly looking for something I can use to retire my Windows 2019 DCs. I don't need them, they're too heavy, I just want super simple AD with bare bind9s and kea. Will probably end up being Samba, but I can dream about an Illumos solution, right? If anyone knows of any DC capable software for Illumos, please let me know

Speaking of samba, is there any advantage to running it on Illumos because of the old OpenSolaris 10 SMB licensing, or is it just the same as on Linux / NetBSD (pkgsrc)?

SAMBA on Solaris or Illumos is just SAMBA, the same as everywhere else.
Alternative to AD is Ldap, ex OpenLDAP Quick Start Guide (Did not tried myself, I still use AD)
