Thanks! I just snagged two from him at $35/each as well
Next step up LSI 9207, LSI 9217 , LSI 2308 is PCIe 3.0Nice deal, what is the next step up from the H310 and SAS2008 based for an IT mode HBA?
Make sure you are using the older P7 version of sas2flash first. It took me a while to figure that. I was afraid that I might have bricked it.note : How-to Flash Dell Perc H310 with IT Firmware To Change Queue Depth from 25 to 600 - ESX Virtualization
pretty good offered him 4@35$ hope he will accept
Tru dat! :-D Learned that lesson LONG ago, I have the upgrade sequence engrained in my memory now for almost all 2008 card variants.Make sure you are using the older P7 version of sas2flash first. It took me a while to figure that. I was afraid that I might have bricked it.
@whitey has pictures of the steps in a recent post here with version hilighted.
Mine were also packaged terribly (the same way). I had one bent 8087 connection as well, but I was able to straighten it out. I have tried to check on both of these cards with both megacli and sas2flash and neither one shows any adapters present. Also, I don't get the OptionROM loading screen either during bootup for either card. I'm not sure if these cards are duds or have been flashed incorrectly.I got mine on Saturday.
Packaging was TERRIBLE.
They were packed 3 in a single Priority Envelope with 1 layer of bubble wrap around them!!!
1 8087 connection was bent, but I straightened it out.
going to be testing these ASAP

I'm using version P5 following the same instructions I used to flash a different H310 a week ago. Here is the output of sas2flash.nthu9280 said: Make sure you are using the older P7 version of sas2flash first. // maybe the older version of sas2flash will detect the Cards
