The H13SSL powered off after a while, so I'm going through some steps including clear CMOS. but when I look at the manual it the steps are counter-intuitive: short the CMOS pads AFTER removing the CMOS battery!
If there is no power, and no battery, how is anything going to happen between the two pads?
They don;t talk about putting back the battery, so I guess the manual steps are a mess.
Any idea what is the correct sequence of events?

You "drain" the power from the storage that keeps the data by shortening the metal pads.
They don;t talk about putting back the battery, so I guess the manual steps are a mess.
The assumption is that people reading the manual have "common sense" ._.
