Thank you for your reply. I am using the 4585PX. I tried using other memory modules as well, and finally succeeded in running at 5600MHz with Crucial memory featuring Micron chips. Now, I am looking for higher capacity memory modules (such as 96GB).

Having H13SAE-MF no matter what I do board does not recognize my Qlogic FibreChannel controller (PCIe 3.0 x8), despite it's basic PCIe compliant device recognized in X12SPL-F and X11SSM-F boards + HP and ASUS desktop recognize cards allright.
There is something fishy with H13SAE-MF PCIe implementation - maybe PCIe splitter/MUX is the reason?
RHEL 9.4 and Windows Server 2022 (all updated till October 2025, Windows has Supermicro supplied drivers installed)

Once I configured SLOT6 bifurcation to "x4x4x4x4" then Qlogic card is detected OK by BIOS + OS (Win and RHEL), but of course running with 4 PCIe lanes only.
Setting can be found under BIOS:
Advanced tab -> PCIe / PCI / PnP -> CPU SLOT6 PCIe Bifurcation (default: disabled) = "x4x4x4x4"
I've written couple of mails with SuperMicro and let them know my observation - so let's see if they have "willingness" and are "pro-customer" oriented and will fix this "bug".
I also do not have a value there for the CPU. With patience I get some CPU and package temps on the Sensor tab. Sad truth is AM5 is too limiting for storage and peripheral configurations compared to the threadripper of yesteryear -- throw in the AI craze and yeah... Supermicro could care less rn
I also had issues with an older Gen 3 PCIe HBA and agree some funky stuff was going on w/ Supermicro firmware. Basically 2 months thinking I was about to make it work only to return the hba.
This PCIe Gen 5 x16 AIC w/ Redriver to 74p Dual MCIO adapter card and ASM1166 M.2 to 6-port SATA adapter are working now for my setup though. Well... almost.. I need to get networking done with the 1 M.2 slot left...

I am having a heck of a time with a crucial 32GB UDIMM (non-ecc) in slot B1 by itself. No POST and it's a fairly standard module imho (CT32G48C40U5). Both the supermicro ram that came with the system and a kingston valueram from amazon work fine (both also 32GB, non-ecc) udimm. Post code in BMC/IPMI says it's stuck at C5 code.
Anyone have this dimm working? I have the latest BMC firmware &The latest bios I could find (2.5a)
Also wondering if I'm going to have any issues with an epyc 4545p. System came with 8700g. I have Supermicro AS-C531I-11102U which comes with the H13SAE-MF. Motherboard is rev 1.0 if it matters.

With the latest BIOS revision 2.6 there is also support for x8x8 bifurcation.

Onboard VGA Function: Disabled (causes EFI framebuffer issue on FreeBSD when HDMI port on the mainboard [iGPU] is connected)
With the "dGPU Only Mode" on "Auto" or "Enabled" you won't get an image when you plug the cable into the mainboard HDMI port (couldn't test DP).

After connecting the HDMI cable back to the dGPU I just noticed that the EFI framebuffer issue in FreeBSD (GhostBSD actually) is back.
Enabling the "Onboard VGA Function" (BMC) fixed that issue again.
So my new advice would be to disable this function only if you use the iGPU port on the board.

I just saw they released BIOS version 2.7 but they don't seem to allow guest downloads anymore, you need to login/signup with a business account.
That would be in alignment with the policy that they do not sell standalone mainboards anymore. They seem to focus on working with Nvidia in the more profitable AI sector.

I mentioned it in another thread already but I had my (nearly a year old) order for a H13SAE-MF cancelled last week if I didn't also buy a CPU (that I've already bought) through Supermicro at some unspecified markup (I never did get a response on what the actual price was going to be).

I got mine from newegg last year. Additionally, I have always had to log-in with a SM account to get the BMC/BIOS...I am not a Business, and I can still get in for resources.
This being said, I can't seem to get 2.7 installed, and registered with BMC (Setup says 2.7, but BMC says 2.6) *shrugs*
