Hello,

I recently got hands on local R282 with dual 7002/3 SP3 socket 2U server, it was super cheap and as is. When I got it the pins were perfectly fine on the socket, but the person before broke the screw head off the retention bracket. I am not sure why people use a hammer drill on motherboards. CPU0 is the damaged one, so not really able to ignore if I wanted to.

How easy is it to replace the bracket? can I somehow remove the screw? Is it as simple as buying a new "Foxconn SP3 CPU Socket Protect Holder stents support LGA4096 iron frame SP3 4094 CPU Socket" off aliexpress and pulling the motherboard and fixing?

Any tips of guidance greatly appreciated.

if you fasten that one first to the end(1.5Nm), then the opposite two screws, this lever can tear out the first screw or brick off.
@RolloZ170 do you happen to know if I have to remove the mobo? unsure if the bottom bracket studs will stick through.
