I have been having my server reboot itself since I went to 11.3 from 11.2.
I have seen my SAS card stop it from finishing POST as well, I un-racked, cleaned out the whole thing from dust. The SAS card was slightly off in the seating to the PCIe ribbon extended. for 72 hours I had NO issues, then this morning @ 0816 it 'un-expectedly' rebooted.
I just setup emails in the alert services.
for looking at the log/core dump.... I have under 'System Dataset' my ZFS pool selected in the drop down and SYSLOG is checked.
Where do I go to review the logs?
*Edit the SAS card I have is running my ESXI server and this Freenas box on similar but not exact server HW. Different CPU/RAM/mobo but same era.
Intel SAS 2008-8i(9211-8i) 6Gbps 8 Ports HBA PCI-E SATA RAID Controller Card
