Good thing I stopped mining Monero

I think a lot of folks know that I "stopped" mining Monero a few months ago.

Turns out I just looked at the cluster and it is at 16KH/s. So much for that stopping goal. I do remember being well over 20KH/s at some point. Certainly not earning 1+ XMR/ day anymore.

Price went from $10-30 to $150 now down to $95 but the difficulty is much higher.

Yea everything dropped there for a bit, I was in ETH pretty heavy around $300 and took quite a bath there. but I bought more during the drop.

It is just one expensive hobby and distraction from real life.

Wow! Way more than I do. I swapped some out for ETH, XRP, BTC, BCH, ZEC and more GPUs. I think I hit 300 at some point but now less than half that. Some days I kick myself for the diversification.

There is not much money left for hardware expenditure recovery.

May be this winter, I won't pay so much for natural gas heating.

I know that feeling well, my home power bills have been will over $1200 a month all summer.

We had couple weeks of 100 degree weather, I had to turn on AC.
Most of the time, I run 10 fans to save AC power.

I havent shared pictures because it is a giant shitshow lol. It was setup to make the $$$ and it looks...awful.

Gpu's used to be doing primarily ETH, and are now doing XMR and ZEC. My XMR hashrate is ~30KH/s. Started mining in april and have gained roughly 15K USD in that timeframe.
