I am incredibly excited that Threadripper Pro is coming to the DIY market. This is definitely what I'm going to upgrade my main server to as it meets all my requirements.

1. High core counts
2. High clock speeds
3. Large memory address capability (RDIMM support)
4. Full ECC memory support

And also many things that are nice to have:

5. Lots of PCIe lanes
6. 8-Channel memory for high bandwidth

I had strongly considered going EPYC or Threadripper for my new server but I was having to make concessions under both scenarios. Using EPYC I would give up high clock speeds but under Threadripper I would lose RDIMM support.

Having everything in one platform is really desirable to me and I can't wait to get my hands on this stuff. I hope the Zen3 version will launch before the end of this year.

Compared to Asus and Supermicro which are available for sale in Newegg.. this seems to be the only WRX80 board that doesn't seem to be generally available anywhere.. Anyone knows where this can be purchased online within U.S.?
