Gigabyte MZ33-AR1 pci slot

Does anyone know the max size of a pci card that would fit into this board without the ram getting in the way? It seems like there is not a lot of clearance.

I would assume that they would have to leave enough for a standard hhhl pci nic card.

Why don't you measure it from picture? The dimension of DIMM slot and CEM connector is known just get one of these onscreen rulers and with a bit of math you can make a reasonable estimate.

The problem is: in two upper slots the card will hit the CPU cooler so it totally depends on the size of the cooler, and the two lower slots there is a heat spreader even before the DIMM slots that will interfere. So whatever card you are planning to use - if it is any longer than the PCIe x16 slot itself I would think about the raiser cable and some alternative mounting place.

Thanks. How tall is the heat spreader? I need to fit 4 x cx7 nics. I will use a water block for the CPU.
