There has to be some step missing, becasue my system doesn't respond to BMC control command when flashed to ROME bios. How did you reset BIOS settings?

not need todo anything. BMC works every time.
with Rome BIOS you need ROme CPU to respond.
After reading the whole topic I decided to wait it out a little bit as there are batches that can run Rome cpu's and batches that can't.
What we know now:
- Hz boards seems to be able to work with Rome CPU's
- SN1809xxxx does not run Rome CPU's.
- SN1749xxxx does not run Rome CPU's.
- @jmenmonicj your board doesn't work with a Rome CPU? (what's your batch / serial number)
If someone got a HZ board here: what's your year / week? Might be that Hz boards are newer and we must search for later boards? (or the opposite)
Would be great if I could get my hands on a HZ board AND a non HZ board so I can check for any hardware / firmware related differences. If we're lucky a Gigabyte engineer /enthousiast could give us a hint.

i bought a MZ31 from RAM-KOENIG because they showed HZ variant on they're listing pictures(not anymore)
i got NOT a HZ board, SN1809 and this does NOT run Rome.
update:
got a HZ board SN1829 and even this board does not run Rome.

My SN is 1828xxxx and HZ extension (MZ31-AR0-HZ). I have bought second hand ROME CPU on ebay, maybe CPU is dead, who knows. I have sent issues my system didn't boot to seller including if he checked the cpu was fully functional. I have found a guy who will test my ROME CPU in his MB and we will know where could be the issue (mainboard/bios or CPU). @RolloZ170 how you update you BIOS? BMC or other method? May I ask you to share your BIOS backup? I would try to flash identical BIOS as yours, even you shared link to Gigabyte original one (and I compared it and it is the same as mine I flashed using BMC).BIOS R34 for Rome for 16mb chip as RBU and BIN(flashable) as seen work on a HZ board

I am just curious my MB is acting not the same way as yours, so I am trying to find what could affected that.
BMC, also with Test Clamp and ch341a(3.3V), makes no difference for me.
makes not a sense because my board does not support Rome.

That's the one I compared with my modified one (manually created the checskum) and it is identical. I do not understand why my MB is acting differently and not even responding to the BMC power control. What are the next steps when you updated the BIOS using BMC?
wait a minute. AC off. AC on.
this loads new BIOS. wait for BMC reeady, Remote control, Power On.
When flashing the bios from BMC finished, BMC reports sending the reset to the mainboard automatically. But it seems doing nothing relevant, system just waiting for any action from my side, like turn of.
When I turned AC back on, BMC started on and after that turns the whole machine on automatically. Not waiting for any remote control command from BMC side :-(.
Is there any options at BMC side to switch on for waiting for BMC control?
this is normal because you removed AC in ON state.
after AC back the system returns to last state before AC off.
if system is ON, press the PwrBtn longer than 4 seconds until the system turns OFF. then remove AC.
now the board does not turn ON at AC back.
Unfortunately my MB doesn't respond to any button nor flat screwdriver shorting pins 11-13 on front panel. Don't know why.
