we have two user with same board rev. , one work one not.
Even within the same 1.1 version, they seem to have some revisions. Like you said, these could be cpld or other very minor differences in software.
An additional sticker on the board marks these differences. They mentioned this in some of the bios/bmc updates.
The sticker on mine is marked as version 0.

Can MZ31-AR0 with AMD rome BIOS run 48 and more core CPUs? I am trying to run a 200W tdp CPU that has 48 cores for now.

I got a motherboard, revision 1.1, ready for Rome, R34, But BMC does not work on it, information about BMC is not displayed in the BIOS. I tried to replace the BMC in a regular way, but it didn't work out. Does anyone know how to make BMC work?

i just got a v1.1 board and i have 2 cpus a ? ES epyc and a 7303 is there any way to upgrade without a cpu to Milan bios? the board also has the old BMC (vertiv) , i tried the programmer but i cant desolder the chip atleast not without damage, and even then (i know i shoudnt try to program while the board has power but othervise the board tries to draw to much current and the programmer just dies) but when i try to write it doesnt write (asprogrammer says it writeing but when i read back its still the same) and i cant get the RBU file for milan sadly just the rom and even then the board thinks it is allwys on with the milan cpu in the board only if i dont have a cpu installed it sais it is off i hope someone can help me here

add the RBU footer
did that but sadly still no boot
the bmc sais , and it "detects a cpu but the one i guess it was used before i got the board and it thinks it is on" and it sais that the bios version if F11b

Edit :
i dumped the bios and it is the new version atleast it looks like it so f11b is wrong, great ,is the board just not upgradable or is there something else wrong, the cpu gets slightly warm estimated 34 °C with a cooler so it gets power? the other somewhat unknown cpu get really warm if that matters

without successfull POST the inventory shows last working config/hardware.
no POST = old CPU, old BIOS.

they can't even 7002 (Rome), Naples only. Maybe the key is in their VRMs, they're programmed for only Naples on some revisions of the board
Is there a way to upgrade the vrms? Or is that impossible because id really like to use my milan cpu because of its efficiency compared to naples
