I am trying to decide between these 2 SAS Cards for my Plex server, I want them to work as a HBA(each drive attached showing in Windows without Raid Enabled) as I use Windows Storage Spaces to create my Storage Pool.
I know both cards use the same LSI Controller Chip (SAS 3008 IO controller) and the Broadcom board does specifically state working as a HBA but the Gigabyte board doesn't.
Does anyone know if the Gigabyte board works a HBA or not as I would really like to save the ~£150 as it is half the price of the Broadcom board.
