2 of my Fusion-IO drives came, I got the drivers from Sandisk/Fusion site for Windows, installed them, and in my device manager it says "Storeage ControllerS" and then "Fusion ioMemory VSL Device".

I tried to update drivers it said they were up to date with sign date of Feb. 2015.

I've tried to "SCAN FOR NEW DISK" in disk manager.

How do I "see" the fusion IO drive in windows now?

I figured one the drivers were there windows would show it like a hard drive since it's a storage device.

Useful info: My MSI x99 SLI+ board has m2 in use with Samsung drive, so I lose the last PCIE slot, however the second to last wouldn't even allow my system to POST. Not sure if that's a configuration in BIOS or what, but it sure puts me in a bind to install a 2nd video card with m2 in use!!

Looks like I need a power adapter... ??? Anyone know where to find these? Or, maybe my PCIE can be turned up to power the device? From what I read you should be able to use it in lower power mode just not at optimal performance as it will throttle... same with heat it said too.

Also, noticed it needs new firmware which I downloaded and just need to install, Going to try to figure out CLI firmware update & then format it, and see if I can get acces.

Any tips or tricks :)

And then 1 minute later I decided to "press" enter to see if it did anything or was really frozen.

I now went from 12% to 100% instantly, and got:

fct0 - successfully updated controller firmware from 6.0.0.107006 to 7.1.17.116786.

Please reboot this machine to activate new firmware.

And after reboot windows finds it as a "hard drive", and can be used as a normal drive.

HDTUNE Going.

ANVIL Test:
Screen clip

I really wish writes were 700mb/s to beat-out the Intel S3700 by a bit.

For what I paid for these though I'm def. going to use for SLOG, and mysql until I go to NVME.

For $150 each I think I got a deal :) Who else got those?

Finally figured out you have to use older drivers to get the system to recognize really old firmware drives.

Awesome. I think I'm going to use the 80gb drives, and sell the 3xxgb drives myself. I don't need that much Cache.

Looks like I may have 4 or 5 80gb rives and 2-4 35xgb drives... gotta finish testing them :)

For the $ of them ALL I couldn't have touched 1 NVME, just a lil FYI.
