For sale:

Super micro X9DRH7- 7TF-0 motherboard with dual Xeon e5-2620 LGA-2011 processors, cpu coolers and 8 16 GB sticks or 128 GB of Hynix PC3-8500R ECC RAM.

The CPUs are not engineering spec, they are full production releases.

The board has dual 10 Gbps Ethernet ports, built in IPMI for remote setup, monitoring and configuration. There are 8 SATA2 ports which support RAID 1 and 10 and 2 SATA3 ports. The board also has an onboard LSI RAID CARD with 8 SAS/SATA ports. It was returned for RMA to repair and SuperMicro says it's fine. I replaced the server while it was in for repair, so no longer need it.

Motherboard $275 SOLD
Processors 2 @ $300 each SOLD
Memory 8 @ $100 per stick ALL SOLD

The whole thing for $1,400 and I'll include the Supermicro 4U Heat syncs. Make me an offer if interested for the whole thing or just what you need. I'll consider all reasonable offers.

IBM M1015 in IR Mode $100 or trade for a 16 port expander SOLD

EVGA 04G-P4-2673-KR GTX-670 Superclocked w/ backplate $200

Corsair Obsidian 900D case with an additional 3 drive bay, 3 hot swap adapters for a total of 12 drive bays, 9 of which are hot swap. The case is in excellent condition but may be missing a 5 1/4 drive bay cover. $225

Cisco Catalyst 6503 with dual 900w power supplies, a Sup 720 and a 48 port 10/100/1000 Ethernet module. $500. This is loud and requires dual circuits so not something you want to run in your house, unless you need a garage heater [emoji3]

All prices are + shipping in the US.

Reviewing my post it may have been implied that the motherboard was troublesome, that's not true. It ran for over a year with no errors at all. Hyper-V with multiple VM's, Server 2012 Essentials, Linux, Windows 8, Server 2011 Essentials, and misc others. It was supposed to be used by my kids for VM's and learning, but they preferred to use their own computers and not the server.

The RMA was to repair the VGA port connector, which we never used, and to implement a manufacturer defect repair on the SAS controller. I never used the SAS since I configured it with storage spaces and an add in M1015.

The SAS controller is the part i never got working, but the SAS drives I have aren't working on any controller, so I'm not sure if there is a problem with the controller or not.

Just a comment, board serviced by Supermicro is great. They do great jobs of getting things fixed.

You could see if the poster who was trying to build a test rig for ERP with 128GB would be interested. On my phone or would link you the thread. This would be a nice setup for him.
