Bought this on ebay last week and got it today - ended up having wrong backplane for my project. (needed sas3)

Supermicro 2u 216-9 with X9DRH-7TF + heatsinsk (no cpu/ram) + dual PWD-920P-SQ PSU's.- will include a rack mount kit if wanted.

$250 - Plus shipping (around $50ish) - I'm in Ashburn, VA

Just in case you didn't know, the 216A backplane is direct connect, so it will operate at SAS3 speeds just fine. It's only the expander backplanes that actually get limited. You can just use sff-8087 to sff-8643 cables if you have SAS3 HBAs that need sff-8643.

I didn't know - thanks - I already have all my sff-8644 cables.. Well if it doesn't sell I guess I'll keep it and have to but more SSD's to fill it. lol

Nice! good luck with the sale! And I can confirm, I have a 216A with SAS-3 HGST HUSMM8080 SSDs and I get full SAS-3 speeds. Also, that onboard SAS2208 RAID controller can be flashed to SAS2308 IT mode if you want to use software storage technologies instead of HW RAID. About the only thing I don't like about that board is the RJ-45 10GbE... would have preferred some SFP+ instead...
