If you check the PayPal TOS you’ll find you’re not allowed to charge people fees to use PayPal.
Thanks for the tip, but it's not needed.

If anyone has issues with the fee, they can come buy the item in person and pay cash. I'm accepting selling and shipping items but will not eat the additional costs involved with that kind of sale. Saying it's a PP Fee is me being transparent, if it makes people feel better, then consider it a processing fee of my time and effort which just happens to equal the exact amount charged by using the paypal service to pay for things.....

or you can be funny say "3% discount if you buy locally in cash". This isn't unique to PP, all credit card companies do this.

What’s your PayPal email address? Because your preference violates their TOS. Add the fees in to your price, or send me your PayPal email and I’ll let PayPal figure it out for you.

Ignored. Please stay out of my FS thread. If @Patrick has it listed in the forums for sale rules then i will adjust as needed.

It's complete BS. Also, sending a message and not replying in 8 months isn't a good sign (read as forum culture).

Here's the PP user agreement:
No surcharges
You agree that you will not impose a surcharge or any other fee for accepting PayPal as a payment method. You may charge a handling fee in connection with the sale of goods or services as long as the handling fee does not operate as a surcharge and is not higher than the handling fee you charge for non-PayPal transactions.

@marcoi, just update your post that shipping costs X% extra, and you accept only the PP payment method. In this case, you're 100% compliant with the PP user agreement.
You can absorb the fee by increasing the price of the item itself so that the fee is covered. This is a common practice. The PP will never do anything until you prioritize any other payment systems (cash doesn't count in this case). Basically, saying Zelle is 0% extra and PP is 2% - violation of PP user agreement, anything else - nope.
