Trying to sell locally in Orlando FL area.

I have a lightly used SuperServer 6027TR-HTFRF 4 node 2u server for sale. I was using it for mining during Jan 2018 to middle of March. It had been off since March. I decided to sell it as I don't need the compute power for home usage. I have the original SM box it came in.

Details:
Link to specs: Supermicro | Products | SuperServers | 2U | 6027TR-HTFRF
Note: this model has the Mellanox ConnectX-3 FDR Infiniband 56Gbps Controller, which is a nice feature.

Ram: The Ram is 4GB 2Rx4 PC3-10600R-9-10-e1. Each node has 8 qty for total of 32GB Ram. Ram has heat sinks and is Elpida branded with HP part number.

CPU:
4 x e5-2680 V2 CPUs
2 x e5-2648L V2 CPUs
2 x e5 -2670 V1 CPUs

Break down of price as configured below if purchases as a unit. (not including shipping)
Right now trying to sell as complete configuration.

Server – 1800.00 Price Drop (450 per node)
Ram 128 GB total (32 QTY x 4 GB) – 300 (9.375 each)
4 x e5-2680 V2 CPUs – 700 (175 each)
2 x e5-2648L V2 CPUs – 300 (150 each) (links to ark pages below)
2 x e5 -2670 V1 CPUs – 130 ( 65 each) (links to ark pages below)

Total as configured: 3250.00 - Price Drop 3000 plus shipping

I may consider trades for:
1. servers that run e5-26xx v3/v4 / gold CPU
2. 32/64GB DDR3 Memory (need 24 sticks to populate dell r720 server)
3. Enterprise SSD for VM storage. Can be SAS3/Sata. interested in large storage sizes.
4. X11SDV-16C-TP8F w/memory

Feel free to make a BEST (reasonable) offers. Let me know what you have.

If you want it with a different config, let me know.

I have a Dell C6100 and I'm curious what the noise level is like on the supermicro? Have you ever heard a Dell to compare? I like the idea of a high density 2u unit but noise is also a factor in my lab. Any drives included?

@cyantist Do you have a workload in mind? IE running all 4 nodes at 100% or 4 nodes at 25%. That will affect the noise level. I plan on taking it out of the packing soon and setting it up to make sure everything still working as expected. Anyways I can run it and do some db levels using my cell phone if you like so you have a rough idea of noise levels.

No drives included. When i was running it i ran it off usb thumb drives.

So with just the server running, no nodes on at 2 ft away cell phone is reading 45 dbs.

Boot up one node 60 dbs start
Idle one node 55 dbs
100 % CPU load 5 mins 60 dbs

All four nodes 100% load 64 dbs

Your milage may vary based on temps on loads etc

Thanks for the feedback. That's pretty much inline with the C6100 which makes it a deal breaker for my lab. These are awesome machines but best installed in a DC or lab where noise isn't a factor.

I listed it on CL locally as well so hopefully someone bites.

i took 4 of the 8 X SR1A6 INTEL XEON E5-2680V2 CPUs to upgrade my two running boxes.
I can sell the server with the remaining 4 CPU - minus cost of the 4 missing. Or sell it without any CPUs.
Pm me for options. I can also put the other CPUS i am replacing into it ,etc..

Would also consider trades for a new V4 2 CPU system of equal value. For trades it would need to be local.
