I have a few Supermicro LGA1155 items that I'm offering up for sale. These have been great general purpose lab tools that I've used for exploring many setups (Server 2012/2016, ESXI, FreeNAS, XPEnology, pfSense etc).

Just out of curiosity..what kind of fan is that in the Supermicro chassis? Where is the intake?

It's a 97mm blower fan, and it pulls in air from the bottom of the fan. The large air gaps in the front of the chassis provide the air intake.

It's 3200 rpm max, and it's more of a "whoosh" than a "whine" usually associated with the 40mm 12k counter rotating fans (FAN-0086L4) used in the 815 chassis. Admittedly, this chassis is planned to be used with a significantly lower thermal load than the 815 chassis !

There's 3 photos of it on the Supermicro Store that show the details.

Great seller here, I just got a 2u intel server shipped perfectly. Super communications and went the extra distance to test everything before shipping it out. Would gladly buy from @britinpdx again!

Received my order as listed last week. Haven't had a chance to test the combo out yet because of work travel, but I wanted to come back and say britinpdx was a pleasure to buy from and his packaging left nothing to be desired. Had to have been the safest a motherboard/cpu/ram combo has ever traveled coast to coast :)
