I have a few motherboards that are just kinda sitting there. Better that they get used with someone else. :)

Qty 1x - X9DRE-TF+ dual 2011 motherboard with dual 10g onboard. - $199/obo - No IO shield (used it elsewhere), just the board, but the board is in pristine condition. This is rev 1.02, the latest rev. It has the Intel x540 dual 10gb onboard, in addition to the regular stuff. 24 DIMM slots!

p.s. This has the C602J chipset, which is interesting...unconfirmed reports say it will take E7 v3 Xeons as well? (I have not tried that).

This pic is not mine, mine's still in the box in storage, but it gives you an idea.

Qty 2x - Inventec B420GA0 1150 motherboard w/e3-1220 v3/16GB (4x4GB) ECC/82599 10g/LSI 2008 SAS - $129/obo each

The prices includes free shipping in the lower 48 states. Anywhere else, we'll have to work out what it's gonna cost.

Thanks.

E7 Xeons are a different socket than the E5 line. Not going to work.

E7 v3 are a different beast... :) As an example, the E7-8890 v3 is a 2011 socket CPU. They will not work in a C602 chipset motherboard, but the C602J apparently does work. Which is why I said "unconfirmed". It's almost interesting enough, that I wanna order one or two of the E7s to see if they work.

There are 3 versions of the 2011 socket. E7 CPUs use 2011-1, which is different than 2011 and 2011-3. The chipset may be compatible with both lines of CPUs, but that just means it can be reused for multiple platforms. It's no different than say Intel making it work with socket 1155, but you obviously can't stick a E5 CPU into that either.

Price drop on the Supermicro board. - Too much stuff, too little space (and time)
