the Startech part is S25SLOTR. i have a pair of these. it converts a spare PCI slot into a 2.5" SATA hot sway (trayless) bay. great for adding boot drives to a machine with spare PCI slots you don't need. the original product from Startech has a design flaw where it doesn't fit all PCI slots; I've modified it, so there are signs of where I cut it down with a dremel. It's a solidly made unit with mostly metal. i had it in a Dell PowerEdge server, but no longer need it since I moved to a Supermicro 826 with rear 2.5" bays. The included SATA power cable splits to drive the activity LEDs.

Asking $45 shipped USPS Priority for the pair of them. Only taking Google Wallet or Zelle at this time; no PayPal. I've sold many things here and been in STH for a few years. PM me if interested. Thanks.

I understand concern, but do really appreciate sharing a better deal. I think community good wins out here. Just my 2 cents, more important how Aestr feels here.

The post I replied to has been deleted. You can still see it in my quote. It was someone who popped into this thread asking for quotes on something completely unrelated. Looked an awful lot like a bot or future spam account building up a post like they tend to before spamming links. I’m sure their next post would have been extolling the virtues of fiberstore;)
