I've accumulated a little too much hardware so hopefully someone can give it a good home. Checked all prices against eBay so hopefully they seem reasonable. Open to reasonable discounts on quantity.

13x Supermicro 826 with X9DRI-LN4F+ v1.2 (supports v2 processors) motherboard, 2x E5-2640 SAS2 backplane, LSI 9207-8i SAS2 controller, 64GB DDR3 RDIMM, shroud and heatsinks, 2x platinum PWS-920P-1R supplies. Caddies but no drives. $425/unit. Rails available +$30/unit with purchase of 826. Free delivery in Bay Area for 4 or more. Clean, nice systems ready to run.

Alternative to 826 configuration above: same except no RAM or SAS controller: $295

4x X9DRI-LN4F+ v1.2 (supports v2 processors) motherboard with I/O plate $195

8x Intel P3500 NVMe 2GB SSDPE2MX020T401 $395/unit. All at 98 or 99% life remaining and warranty extending in 2020.

3X Supermicro 836 with TQ backplane 2x PWS-801-1R supplies caddies and shroud. $125/unit

Shipping extra - will determine based on weight and location...

Paypal accepted. US only (no offense intended). Any questions welcome.

Update 12/21: the P3500s have 99% life remaining per Intel SSD toolbox except 1 unit with 98% life remaining; i.e., these units are almost new.

Update 12/21: the 826 motherboards support v2 processors per a BIOS version check and Supermicro's website

Correction: should have read "2x e5-2640"

Correction: systems have 64GB not 32GB RAM so asking price on 826 w/ RAM adjusted to $450 (now $425)

[SOLD] ASROCK E3C224D4I-14S "extended" mini-ITX motherboard new in box and complete. Really nice for its included SAS controller. $150

[SOLD] 64X Samsung 16GB DDR3 M393B2G70BH0-YK0 (PC3L-12800R) $30/unit

14 2Us is pretty easy if you have a full height rack. I just think of how many servers you need to upgrade to have 100 modules of ddr3 left over.

Thanks for the well wishes BLinux. I have a 2nd (full) rack in a spare office that houses the extra servers. Alas, it is "too much of a good thing" ...

FYI, even if it is revision 1.10 (which does not support v2 CPUs), you might be able to get Supermicro RMA to fix it for the cost of shipping. Not all revisions can be fixed, but I know for sure 1.10 can because I had a Rev 1.10 that was fixed. If anyone needs it, I can find the ECO number.

You're not parting out any of those 826's are you? I could use the motherboard but have an 846 for it to go into...

Updated OP with this information:

The 826 motherboards support v2 processors per a BIOS version check and Supermicro's website

BIOS version is 3.2 and SM's website says that v2 processors supported for BIOS versions 3.0+

See Supermicro | Products | Motherboards | Xeon® Boards | X9DRi-LN4F+

Thus, v2 processors are supported.
Just FYI, what is on their website isn't entirely accurate. Older revision motherboards (Rev 1.10 and older) will not support v2 processors even with latest BIOS version. There's an ECO for Rev 1.10 that will allow v2 support (I don't know if there's ECO for even older Rev or not), so physical changes to the motherboard are required in addition to the BIOS version. I think it would generally help any potential buyers if you just state the REV number or post a photo of it. It is usually near the model number printed on the board.

Agreed and thanks for the suggestion. Photo posted showing that motherboard rev is 1.20.

I have an extra motherboard that also supports v2 processors - asking $200
Thanks for the reply. What motherboard is it? The same as in the 826 boxes? (X9DRI-LN4F+)

Specifically need a Supermicro so I don't have to mess with fan profiles, adapter cables, etc.

Thanks.

The motherboard is X9DRI-LN4F+ v1.2 with faceplate (same as 826s). Let me know if interested.
