You all knew this was coming :-D

On the block are qty 3 COMPLETE/CLEAN socket 1155 Xeon E3 based servers: $400 each

Supermicro X9SCM-F-O
Intel Xeon E3 1230v2 (3.3Ghz base, 4core, HT, Intel OEM heatsink included)
32GB ECC DDR3-1600 (4x8gb crucial dimms/max mem config)

I have all original boxes/packaging for both mobo's procs, anyone on here who has dealt w/ me can attest that I 'overpack' if anything :-D

Pulled out receipts, makes ya cringe, got nearly $900 into each of these systems w/ above listed parts when I got them BNIB, looking to get $375 outta each bundle.

Pair w/ a chassis and off to the races! If anyone picks up all three there is a Dell Perc H310, an Intel 10Gbe XF SR server adapter, and a dual-port Intel GbE nic (All VMware compatible) I can throw in just for funs/to make things interesting!

As you can tell, I am HEAVY into VMware/Virtualization technologies and this setup will run a fairly heavy workload (roughly 30 VM's on at all times here) across a 3-node cluster if your looking to get some skin in the game w/ a verified working setup in vSphere 6.0. Mostly used in AIO configs w/ omnios/freenas setups and LSI HBA's. You will NOT be disappointed in these systems if you can deal w/ the 32GB memory limit.

Rescinded since I have already started moving systems and the first buyer was not interested in offer.

Hell yeah, you should know better :p

HEAVY ZFS setups on these babies so yeah I don't roll the dice w/ data loss.

All ECC, the good stuff!

Trust me these are MORE than enough to drive a smokin' fast ZFS array, I have ran a couple AIO's per node actually at many times of evaluating omnios, freenas, napp-it, rockstor, ZoL. 2 vCPU 8-12 GB ram and it's time to crush data.

That being said I AM moving to 2670 E5 procs down from 3.3 Ghz with these E3 procs to 2.6 Ghz on the E5 procs, but for memory constraints for me, running vSphere, being pretty heavy into KVM, and wanting to explore proxmox and openstack more just for fun/learning/advancement of my career is what I am mainly after. No worries at all abt virtualization, AIO, plex encoding/streaming, etc perf stuff. I know the E5 2670's are up to the task.

I could, looks to be about $70 per 5lb package (rough weight on my home scale per mobo, proc, memory/packaging). Tell ya what $450 out the door shipped per bundle and they are yours.

Your hardware is very tempting... Especially the XEONS are very attractive in Germany, although most users put them into their gaming rigs. But I am not sure if I want you parts. 375$ +70 Shipping + eventually 19% VAT is over 500. I could get new stuff for it. But I keep your offer in mind. Maybe i see this vice versa in a few days. Thanks for the response.

Just got back from post office, they said it would be $52.50 to ship to Germany from where I am in Denver Colorado. May be a lil' more if I bundle two systems together but that is the rate currently FYI, she said the rates are going up this Sunday for some reason.

Thanks for consideration.

$50 for shiping over the Atlantic? It doesn't seem to be right. How much do you pay for shipping within US?

Just cost me $14 to send one system from Colorado to Washington (Both US of course) but it IS headed to a gent in Canada. They are using a forwarder. I thought it may be $60-80, showed $70 on online calculator, l9ocal shop said $52.50 until this Sunday when rates go up. She could not tell me how much intl' rates are going up btw...guess she only knew domestic.

Just quickly adding this up in my head, even with the VAT and postage from Whitey in Denver, you are still a fair bit less money.
Just doing a quick rough calculation, depending on where you buy your parts from obviously: €204 for SM mainboard, €265 for E3 chip, Cooler €35, Memory €300, total €804 + VAT. Obviously if you are buying from a local supplier, there won't be any postage. I just pulled these prices from a mix of Amazon.de and Heise.de for comparison :)

Just done a quick online quote on the USPS website for a box marked fragile weighing 5lbs with dimensions of 12" x 12" x 8" with value of $800, shipped international priority, from Denver to Germany and it came out at $62.80. I think the $52.50 Whitey was quoted locally is a good price!!

OK, so I am NOT crazy, this is validated. Remember if you get both it may be a bit more to bundle in a larger box and 10lbs of weight. Imagine it will be cheaper to send that way than break out into two diff boxes paying shipping separately.

So long and short, I WILL ship intl...long as you are aware/responsible of rates/shipping costs.

Here's some cam pics off my phone (not the best but will do) of the system I just packed/shipped this morning to @mac

Added some more packing than that last pic shows of course before shipping :-D

I don't know much abt currency rates other than what I could find online, so are you saying this is a good deal still for him or he could do better locally? Can't quite sort that out in my head. This VAT is garbage in my book is all I gotta say and import tax/duties...BOOO
