Hi Folks,

One of my pet projects went belly up after just 3 months and I am getting rid of some hardware. Essentially what I have is a HP DL385 Gen10 machine with:

* HP DL385 Gen10 chassis in performance configuration with P408i-a controller (P16694-B21)
* 2 x Epyc 7452 CPUs, retail, aftermarket upgrade, second CPU also with original HP DL385 Gen10 heatsink
* 16 x Samsung M393A2K43DB3-CWE 3200Mhz DDR4 Ecc Ram, aftermarket upgrade
* Dual 800w Power supplies
* High performance fan kit (867810-B21)
* Secondary Rieser cage ( 870548-B21)
* Dual Intel D3-S4510 480GB M.2 SATA drives installed on system board as mirrored boot devices (non HP but new)
* 8 x 1.2tb Seagate Savvio 10k SAS disks, ~ 3 years old but have not many power cycles and are not worn down, always operated in datacenter.
* Chelsio t540-cr quad port SFP+ 10Gige NIC

The machine with accessories was delivered in the end of April 2020, so it still has warranty from HP. Super clean, was installed for those 3 months in Tier3+ datacenter. CPUs where bought on aftermarket and have no warranty on them.

Machine has been intensively burned-in as it was crunching numbers for 3 months without single crash.

Selling entire package for 6000.- 5400.- EUR plus shipment

I also have one Epyc 7302 and 16gb DIMM that came originally in this server, if you wish to have that as well then I can throw it in for additional 400 EUR for a total of 6400.- 5800.- EUR

Shipment from Germany.

Bump and price reduction.

Will slaughter machine if not sold at this price and sell CPUs / Memory alone.

Hi, have you sold this server? I am a PhD student in a public university and I am just wondering if you think of slaughtering the server, maybe you could donate it? Throwing away such a new and capable server seems totally crazy, especially if you could do some good for research/education. Just a thought. If my suggestion does not sound unreasonable, you may contact me via PM.

I think slaughtering in this context means to sell the server in parts and not as a whole server.

Folks, of course "slaughter" means take it apart and not throw away ))

Anyways, I have found someone who will take the machine in "original config"(7302 CPU and 16gb memory) from me and as a result will take out upgraded components and list them here.

Stay tuned for:

2 x retail EPYC 7452 CPUs
16 x Samsung M393A2K43DB3-CWE 3200Mhz DDR4 Ecc Ram modules
1 x High performance fan kit (867810-B21)
