I'm in the midst of buying used parts for my server build; i'm finding that I'm accumulating parts I don't need or intend to use. So, I'm listing them here for sale. Local pickup in San Diego county works for me, otherwise we can work out shipping costs. Cash works best if doing local pickup, otherwise PayPal, Google Wallet, or Chase pay.

Priced accordingly, but feel free to shoot me reasonable offers. The 52-port gigabit completely silent switch needs to go!! make me an offer...

[interested trades/WTB]
+ LSI SAS3008 based HBA with horizontal ports
+ Dual Socket motherboard suitable for workstation use (slot for GPU, audio, etc.) for IvyBridge Xeon.

[complete servers]

[cpus]
+
qty=2 Xeon E5-2660 (v1) CPUs. In perfect working condition, pulled when I upgraded to v2 CPU. - $70 shipped USPS within CONUS. $130 shipped USPS within CONUS for the pair. SOLD 2.
+ qty=2 Xeon X5680 CPUs. 1 of these is missing a redundant pad, but works without issue. - $75 shipped each, $145 shipped for the pair.
+ qty=2 Xeon E5630 CPUs, perfect working condition. - $5 shipped each. great for testing motherboards.
+ qty=1, Xeon E5540 CPUs, perfect working condition. - $4 shipped. great for testing or BIOS upgrade to support E56xx CPUs.
+ qty=1, Xeon E5520 CPUs, perfect working condition. - $4 shipped. great for testing or BIOS upgrade to support E56xx CPUs.
+ qty=4, Xeon E5506 CPUs, perfect working condition. - $4 shipped. great for testing or BIOS upgrade to support E56xx CPUs.

[SSDs]
+ qty=2, Fusion-IO ioDrive2 1.2TB - $325 shipped each within CONUS.

[ram/memory]

[motherboards]
+
qty=2, Supermicro X9DR3-LN4F+ w/ 2x CPU 2U passive heatsinks. One of these is rev 1.2 an supports v2 IvyBridge. The other is an earlier rev 1.1 (?), but via Supermicro RMA has been fixed to support v2 IvyBridge as well (includes RMA test results). Asking $240 shipped within CONUS.
+ qty=1, Supermicro X8DT6-F. This board has flaky DIMM slots or something (maybe socket pins?) on socket1; everything on socket2 works without any problems. A few times, after re-seating DIMMs on socket1 a few times, i've gotten it to work very stable and pass memtest86+ for several hours and then run for days without issue. But some times after removing DIMMs, it gets flaky again. It works fine with just 1 CPU on socket2 with full DIMMs. It also works with 2 CPUs, but without DIMMs on socket1. The onboard LSI SAS2008 HBA works great! So, considering it is like a 1.5 CPU board, I'm only asking $40 + shipping.

[system combo]

[hard drives]

+ qty=2 Western Digital 1.5TB WD1502FYPS RAID Edition RE4-GP 7200RPM SATA drives. Used, passed full sweep of badblocks test. $40 + shipping

Here's a sample SMART output from one of the Maxtor drives:

Gah! The rails I need! Actually, I just need the inners, so I started a WTB thread, but I'll probably take these if I can't find any in the next little while. I believe you already have my address... ;)

Nice job on the chassis btw! Super clean!

hey cyantist! yup... thanks for buying the power supplies! just let me know if you decide you want these...

thanks for the comment regarding the chassis; it was quite the challenge. i've never seen a server chassis so dirty before... it was just filled with a very very fine black dust. every time i cleaned it and thought i was done, then handling it for 5 minutes and my hands turned black! i don't know what that machine went through, but every single screw on it was loose... spent a few hours on it at least. hope to find it a new home though... the wife is starting to show concerns with the pile of stuff that's accumulating...

bump for the weekend! will consider offers on the 825, as long as it's within reason I will consider it; not going to pay to get rid of stuff.
