Interesting, although I am mainly looking for a cheap LGA2011 based system to get 48/64gb of RAM.
What is the IPMI like on the T20 Servers? Have you installed ESXI and if so what version and how did it go?

I haven't even tried out the LOM yet. I installed ESXi 6.0, and they run it just fine.

In the effort of being 100% transparent, the memory limit is why I'm selling. My plan is to move to a Xeon D 1520 board for my ZFS server so it can have 128GB of memory. Of course, that's a different system than these Dell's, but that's what the money will be going towards.

Here is a pic of ESXi running on one of the T20's:

T20 has intel AMT ..
IPMI is more useful than intel AMT.
