Up for sale are several Dell PowerEdge R630 1U Barebone systems. All of these are the 8x2.5" backplane configuration. Just add CPU(s) (E5-26xx v3/v4), DDR4 RAM, and HDDs and you are in business!

I am open to reasonable offers, especially if you are purchasing multiple or if you are local (Bay Area, CA)

Just how quiet are the 630s when idle.

Fractionally quieter than the R610s I find. I have a few at the office stacked on top of some R610s.

Could just be one having ssds and one having spinning rust though.

Hell of a lot quieter overall than the ancient IBMs and PE 2950s that are loitering in other racks nearby.

Unfortunately I can't contribute too much to this conversation. I have almost worked exclusively with 13th Gen R630/R730 so I can't really compare to other configurations.
