I'm currently working on repurposing an AppNeta M70 unit and am exploring the possibility of using the onboard WiFi card slot for an mSATA drive. I was wondering if there are any instructions or guidance available regarding compatibility, especially in relation to firmware versions that support this configuration.

what installation is mentioned here ?
Is there any reason to believe that the WiFi (Mini-PCIe) card slot actually supports mSATA as well? Despite the fact that it’s the same physical form factor, this isn’t something that’s inherently supported — you’re basically muxing in a whole different set of wires.
BIOS Flash went smoothly but using the onboard WiFi card slot for an mSATA drive is not working.
in that case the miniPCI is a miniPCI not a mSATA. BIOS can not wire what isn ot wired.
not correct, both files include ME/SPS
which area is to update is selected by "/me"
ME/SPS is FW for chipset, i guess the miniPCI slot is connected to chipset, to change something you need to update ME/SPS FW.
means not this adds mSATA support to the connector (maybe,maybe not, i don't know)
