So nothing worked. :( Not the 16+24 in channel 0 on the r410, not 1/2/3/4 modules in each bank on the r410, not 24+16 on bank 1 and 4 on the r710. :(

All I can say I guess is that I tried. I tried everything that I know to try. If there's any remaining ideas before I button everything back up tomorrow, please post them and I'll run the tests. Thank you to everyone for their help and encouragement!

Thank you for all your attempts! I suppose Dell just didn't anticipate anyone wanting to use these!

You're welcome. I don't think it's just Dell, but I don't think they will work outside of any system that has the support for them. I do wonder if Supermicro systems would take them, but I have nothing Supermicro that will work with ecc reg.

I just looked if I could see any of that 24gb dimm supported in dl380 gen8 v2 and didn’t see it so maybe it’s really only for use in bl460 gen8 or other special listers systems.

I don’t but I do have maybe some 16gb i think, in a rush ? I probably won’t get to check until Monday or Tuesday next week.

Nah, I've got those (and they work), but 32GB modules won't, so I'm curious if the 24GB modules will work, taking the max from 96GB to 144GB. :)
