Long story short, it looks like im going to be condensing my homelab to virtualize a lot of functions in a single more powerful 4u, that happens to be my storage server.
Three main functions are a file host/media server, a CCTV recording host, and an video encode host.
All three of these need full unfettered access in terms of speed to the RAID array, which is about 1.2GB/s reads and writes.
Virtualization makes this much tougher, as it requires a cluster aware filesystem. The current 50TB raid, which by the way.... i dont have a place to store off data, is NTFS.
Ideas on how to make that raid accessible, and performant to three VMs or containers running on the above?
