Is it just me or do the "Maker" sites for sharing or buying 3d files really do a poor job of organizing by category or related items?

For example I've seen a LOT of PC and SERVER related items linked from forums and reddit but when I do a google search to find more I'm left feeling pretty empty...

With that said, what's everyone's favorite source for PC \ SERVER \ DESK related 3d files?

I think the issues are that 1) Google and the other standard search engines kinda suck now and 2) People who post models and such often do a questionable job of describing them in a way that searching is even possible.

I've had the least-bad results using http://thangs.com to search for models, they index most of the major sites like thingiverse and printables and have a sort of flexible search system, it's still not exactly easy though.

First, Google definitely does a terrible job at indexing 3D model sites, since it seems to only return the top 1-2 matches from a single site. When you go straight to a site and use their search, you get 40 models, and it turns out the 5th one is exactly what you wanted.

I also have a hard time finding models because I'll call something a "clip", and the model designer calls it a "holder"...or any number of other variations on close-to-synonym naming.

I've got bookmarks to models on 6 different sites (Thingiverse, MakerWorld, and Printables are the 3 most), but the one that almost nobody looks at is Tinkercad. Not only can you download files to print, but you also often get access to the source CAD that you can modify or export to Fusion 360 for more serious modeling.
