In a workstation case: Silverstone Alta D1
Whether the MB is Supermicro H13SSL-N or Asrock.
So far the first tests are promising, but before HPC gets wild I need to take care of the DIMM cooling.
I already have case fans, two large ones at the front, mostly aimed at nothing, the MB and therefore DIMMS are somewhat deeper on the right of the case fans and therefore get only a bit of the air flow.
Do you have any idea of how to target the RAM DIMMS with extra cooling? are there any moveable fans that I can get closer to the DIMMS to reinforce the overall case cooling? Have do you / would you use? I see from the sensor readings that the DIMMs are twice as hot as the CPU.
