I bought
MSI GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 GeForce GTX 1060 GAMING X+ 6G 6GB about 2 weeks and it was $299.99 before MIR. Now newegg has MSI GeForce GTX 1060 DirectX 12 GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G 6GB and they're charging 329.99

So even they are charging more for a card with slower clocks from what i can see

It's usually a result of supply and demand. The resulting prices are not always based on the quality or feature set, but by inventory and what consumers are or are not buying.

It is all the cryptocurrency mining demand. Nvidia 1060 and 1070 do well at mining, so they have all seen huge price increases. The AMD RX 470/480/570/580 are even more in demand. Suppliers, on top of having multiple month delays, don't want to increase supply too much because they don't believe this demand will last.

My 1080Ti is 1/2 the daily income it was 2 weeks ago, so it is getting turned off. ETH mining is staying more stable, but ETH has plans to switch to proof of stake by Nov 1.
