Also I tried to copy back those files from TrueNAS to my desktop when TrueNAS is on another subnet. I got the same error but funnily enough it was saying it is a network error, it can't reach my desktop folder on the local computer.
I tested with a samba share on a laptop and got the same results, so this is not a TrueNAS issue but a smb issue. I think it is something to do with pfsense but I am not sure what. I am not blocking anything in there currently.
