there doesnt seem to be a clear answer on that... at least none i could find on the quick since I am interested too;)

You might end up with iSER working, but from the experience iSER on VMware is so badly implemented you'll hardly notice any CPU usage difference even on 10 GbE networking... TL:DR; Don't waste your time on it :)

Oh - and I still get errors in the vmkernel log.

But it works, so I don't know what it is complaining about, possibly RoCEv2
