Look at the X9SCM-iiF with that application. Dual NIC + OOB NIC for management. More PCIe slots. More ECC DIMM slots.

Of course maybe just want mini ITX?

The DQ77KB board is mITX so small and has Intels vPro offering KVM OOB. How good it is may be another matter.

For the mITX size, this or the S1200KP are pretty good choices. The S1200KP does not do VT-d for passthrough but does support ECC ram and uses the C206 workstation chipset.

If going bigger then I would agree, the Supermicro X9SCM-iiF is really a great board for an ESXi server. Their LN4 is also pretty good with 4 lan ports but you loose PCIe slots.
