I recently bought 2 Intel D4502 U.2 NVMe drives and installed it into my ESXi 6.7U3 host. After installing the right drivers, it's detected and I can format it to be used as a VMFS datastore. However, when I try doing a passthrough to a Windows VM, the drive isn't detected and cannot be formatted/partitioned. I installed the correct drivers for Windows. From what I understand, the previous user was using it in vSAN and may have changed some settings. Would anyone have insights, on how to have the SSD read appropriately in a Windows VM? Much appreciated!

Solved the issue. Had to use isdct to detach, delete, create then attach a new namespace in that order. Now Windows and Linux can read it.
