Dear all,
I'm having some difficulties with my setup. A short description below:
HP Z840
2 x Xeon E5-2680v3
128GB RAM
nVidia Quadro K2000 (because, you know, GPU shortage) in PCI passthrough mode
Eizo 4K 60Hz monitor
ESXi 6.7U3 with all current updates
Windows 10 VM with all current updates
nVidia Graphics Driver 461.92 (I've also tested previous versions)
The PCI passthrough of the K2000 graphics card works as it should, however I cannot get the display to work at 4K (3840x2160) at 60Hz. The settings are maxed out at 4K 30Hz. I can put the graphics card and display in 10-bit output, but in the nVidia Control Panel, I'm only able to set the desktop color depth to SDR (30-bit color) and not to 32-bit.
I've tested the same graphics card with the same driver on a bare metal system + Windows installation, and in this case the card and display are able to work at 4K 60Hz and a desktop color depth of 32bit.
I was wondering if anybody encountered the same problem with this generation of card, or didn't encounter anything with a newer generation of cards. I'm able to borrow a GeForce GTX1070 in the near future to test if this resolves any issues.
Thanks in advance
