Hello,
I found this article Native MAC Learning in vSphere 6.7 removes the need for Promiscuous mode for Nested ESXi mentioning its possible to have multiple mac addresses on one virtual network interface without promiscuous mode.
Problem is, that it works only when physical vmnic connected to vdswitch is intel (82574 in my case). When I change it for Mellanox Connect-x 2, it stops working and I see only one MAC address on that dvswitch port.
Wondering if anyone tried this functionality and can confirm that this is bug or knows a workaround for this?
I wanted to test it for CARP on my firewall.
Here I found some changelog mentioning mac learning fix for connectx 4 and 5, but I have no idea if thats even relevant https://www.mellanox.com/related-do..._VMware_ESXi_6.0_Release_Notes_v4_15_13_2.pdf
