Wow thanks! That problem has been killing me for weeks. Do you know where to get the BMC 01.62 firmware?a user in ther thread had same issue with a x11dph. downgrade BMC Firmware 01.62 was the solution.

take a screenshot of the HWinfo processor section, there is a table of nonAVX,AVX2,AVX512 frequencies.Seems to run everything at 3.1Ghz
I'm not that familiar with it, installed Prime95 and left the defaults which had "Disable AVX512" unchecked. That seems really good, I would have expected much lower frequencies on an ES. and that's AVX512?
Thanks
normaly you are right. but cascade lake is a refresh, not a new platform like skylake was.I would have expected much lower frequencies on an ES. and that's AVX512?
With the AVX-512, due to the double register width of 512-bit, one opcode can do eight additions with double precision or 16 additions with single precision per clock. programs written with avx512 code is faster and shorter, but (today) not very portable to other platforms/processors.Now can someone ELI5 what AVX-512 is and what it improves?
QDF: QS??And sometimes HWiNFO just doesn't know what to make of things.

While CPU-Z comes closer

I'm told it is a early 1st run/pre-production 8260L. That's why it shows B1/L1/R1 as revisions, as QS supposedly only went to B1.QDF: QS??
specs looking similar to the QPKD(A0), but with better stepping B1.
A very disappointing dual CPU non-Hyper-Threaded (48 core) 9260, and Hyper-Threaded (96 core) 15055.what is your CinebenchR20 score ?
TIMDoes anyone know whether Cascade Lake SP Xeons are soldered or use TIM?
B1 is latest available stepping Cascade Lake XCC DIE, same than Xeon W-32xx have. L1 and R1 is the same but for other DIE sizes(HCC/LCC)I'm told it is a early 1st run/pre-production 8260L. That's why it shows B1/L1/R1 as revisions, as QS supposedly only went to B1
some seller don't know what they sell.I'm told it is a early 1st run/pre-production 8260L
the AVX512 unit requires more core voltage, with 3 GHz the cpu would draw 300 Watts or more.Unfortunately they seem to default to all-cores AVX-512 @2.3ghz whenever AVX is in use
unfortunaly NO. the BIOS does not allow SKL B0 because of security reasons. Can I use xeon es CPU on my Dell T7820?
I will use two of ql1k cpus
found it.I'm told it is a early 1st run/pre-production 8260L.
the QS will have the same stepping than the matching production unit.as QS supposedly only went to B1.
