Xeon E5 2666 v3 QS QFSC 10C10T 2.9ghzINTEL XEON E5 2666 V3 2.9-3.3Ghz LGA2011-3 10 CORE 25M Seckill I75960X 4960XCan anyone recommend to me ES 2011-3 CPUs that are 8 core, 3Ghz or higher?
I am currently using E5-2658 v3 and I must say for the price I cannot complain.Hello.
I am really interested in these CPUs.
I want one of those Xeons for virtualization/gaming/rendering.
I have read through the entire topic, and i stumbled across some (in my eyes) CPUs that would do the job:
e5 2650 v3 es
e5 2658 v3 qs
e5 2690 v3 es
But most of those CPUs only show model 3F, stepping 1.
This equals to a QEYP if im correct. (Its very confusing for me.)
What CPU would you guys recommend? Perfomance to USD wise?
Or do you guys now if there are any better Xeons available ? And which stepping would be the recommended one?
What Board are you using??I am currently using E5-2658 v3 and I must say for the price I cannot complain.
Have done Nero burn for kids and from start to finish it is taking 23 mins approx, where on x79 nearing 38/40 mins. Games (Killer Instinct and Forza Beta) smooth as butter. I have not done any virtualization stuff but would imagine it would be great. Temps are anywhere from 43 -51C so ensure you have a sufficient CPU cooler!
Nice, looking at chips local to the u.k. im struggling to find ones i will know for sure will run on my X99-UD4P still. theres a guy with some E5-2658 V3 QEYP for sale but still dont know if they run.MSI X99 SLI Plus

HWinfo64 shows it as E5-2676v3 , that is a custom cpu for amazon datacenters based on MCC E5-2690v3 layout.
I would appreciate it if you could point me to one of those. I've been looking for the rare E5-2630 V4 (Stepping 1 CPU-Z) versions but those have been sold out since August. So I am now looking at either the 2683 V3 OEM or lesser versions such as the 2658 V3 (albeit ES1).Hey Guys , just to let you know, updated my board with F22 bios and installed the E5-2658 V3 and its all working fine on the GA-X99 UD4P Gigabyte board! ;-) if anyone in the u.k/rest of the planet is after one of the cpu's i'll point you to them...he has a few!
