I bought Asus Z13PE-D16 board,Q2SR es dont booted with this board.
And i have QYPG max es and this also dont boot.

latest stock BIOS does not support EMR A0
there is no BIOS with HBM A0 support. i do not help with that cpu's anymore.

try first stock 0301 with Q2SR
Z13PE-D16-ASUS-2001.A0.CAP and BIN is modified to run EMR A0 but not tested.
if CAP is not accepted you have to flash with e.g. ch341a and clamp.

For es cpus, Gigabyte MS73 is a better choise

same issue.
MS73 does not run SPR-D0 with actual BIOS. does not support EMR A0 with stock BIOS
does not support SPR-HBM A stepping.

Hi all,

I have a QYFP ES (SPR D0 Step3) currently running well on an Asus Pro WS W790-ACE (thanks to this thread!). I'm interested in switching to an ASRock SPC741D8-2L2T/BCM in order to get more CPU PCIe lanes usable, and to try to experiment with getting these CPUs working under coreboot (which has a port to the ASRock board).

I understand the ASRock SPC741 boards stock BIOS do not support SPR D0 CPUs out-of-the-box. However, it sounds like it may be possible to modify the stock BIOS with the correct CSME/SPS and microcode binaries? Has this been tested on these ASRock boards, or am I going to need to go straight to coreboot and try to get it working there?

not SPS issue. microcode missing and latest CSI/MRC code doen't support SPR-D0 anymore, same for other motherboards e.g. Gigabyte MS03/33/73. use BIOS with old CSI/MRC and mod. to support SPR-D0.

Has this been tested on these ASRock boards, or am I going to need to go straight to coreboot and try to get it working there?

i have SPC741D8UD-2T-X550 work with D0 (mod. BIOS up to 11.06)
EMR A0 cpu need mod. BIOS too, but is more easy, you can run latest BIOS.

I'm thinking of buying an Asrock C621A WS and a QX97 ES LGA4189. Any info on BIOS compatibility or any issues with Qx97? I searched this thread and there's not much info beyond it being D0, which from reading other comments isn't plagued with dropping memory channels like QV** and QU** parts.

QX97 is unknown to me, but sounds like pre-QS but Mx/Dx stepping (depends on core count)

So just extract 06F3 from some other board's BIOS image, remove Platform Type 10 06F8 and add the extracted file as Platform Type 87 06F3 in MMTool and it should work? No other changes from the stock BIOS?

the step 5 C0 steppings have not this issue. but the compatibility is still bad so you don't have to think about.
use QWxx step 6 D0 and have fun.

Are there any motherboards known to work well with step 5? I'd really love to use step 6 but Im on a budget and step 5 is much cheaper
